Equitation & The Arts

To Receive, Conserve & Transmit the Artistic Traditions

& Cultural Heritage of Classical Riding

The art of riding in the Renaissance was cultivated as a form of dance. The music and choreographed movements of horse and rider followed artistic principles of measure, harmony and proportion. The art was founded in the ancient ideas of beauty, cosmos and divinity. With humility and reverence, Equitation and the Arts seeks to receive and conserve these traditions through scholarship, practice and performance.
